Jonathan takes complex problems, breaks them down into little pieces, and then constructs a solution. He aims to make his clients’ positions the simplest and easiest to understand.  Jonathan works primarily in the area of administrative law, representing individuals, government agencies, and regulated entities.

Representative matters

Clients involved in disputes are often in need of an advocate who can protect their interests. Accessible and well-prepared, Jonathan presents the positions of his clients in an effective and persuasive manner.  He has:
  • Represented a large manufacturing corporation in a hearing before an administrative tribunal.
  • Assisted in representing a Crown corporation in judicial review proceedings.
  • Advised government agencies on their obligations under federal and provincial privacy legislation.
  • Defended a number of individuals in criminal proceedings.
  • Prosecuted offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act as an agent of the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
