Representative matters
Working with a diverse group of clients including corporations, insurers and health care organizations, some of the ways Janet has helped her clients are by:
- Acting as co-counsel for an insurer at a commission of inquiry.
- Advising regional health authorities regarding access to medical charts by both individuals and third parties.
- Advising organizations regarding compliance with the relevant privacy and access to information regulatory regime inclusive of preventing and responding to privacy breaches.
- Acting as member of the defence team for regional health authorities in respect of class actions.
- Acting as co-counsel to a mining company and successfully having all charges against the company under occupational health and safety legislation dismissed.
