Koren obtained her law degree from the University of New Brunswick and was called to the bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in June of 2011. Our newest associate in the firm’s St. John’s office, Koren’s practice primarily focuses on assisting other associates and partners on a wide variety matters, including those pertaining to litigation, corporate and employment issues.
Representative matters
Koren’s representative work is diverse, and includes the following:
- Performing legal research on the interpretation and application of statutes including the Income Tax Act, the Crown Liability and Proceedings Act, the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Canada Labour Code, and the Fatal Accidents Act.
- Providing advice regarding claims under personal and commercial insurance policies.
- Drafting pleadings, briefs and corporate documents, relevant policy and legislative provisions.
- Undertaking legal research with respect to class action claims and shareholder disputes and remedies.
