A master strategizer.

When working with a client, Lisa always begins by asking them for their ideal outcome. She then develops a strategy, which could include performing workplace investigations, negotiating collective agreements, drafting documentation or representation before courts or tribunals, to achieve the desired outcome in the most cost-effective way.

Representative matters

Having appeared before all the levels of court in Nova Scotia, as well as specialized tribunals, Lisa uses this experience to help her clients, which include health care providers, municipalities and small and large employers in all industries. Some of the ways she has helped her clients are by:
  • Acting for a client before the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal in a leading case on non-competition clauses in employment agreements.
  • Representing municipalities on labour and employment issues.
  • Acting for health care employers in all areas of workplace issues.
  • Representing employers before boards and tribunals on labour relations issues.
