There is more to being a good lawyer than analyzing facts and applying legal principles. Clients want answers and need solutions to problems. Understanding a client’s needs and relating to people are essential.  This is where Murray excels – looking at the big picture, overcoming obstacles, and figuring out common sense solutions.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

Murray practises labour & employment and workplace human rights law.  He represents leading institutions and businesses in a variety of sectors, including education, medical services, construction, primary resources, IT, governments and media; providing strategic advice and counsel.

Murray is committed to solving problems.  He gives clients straight answers in respect of legal challenges they face, and he offers practical, common sense advice to help clients overcome hurdles in their paths.

Murray has extensive experience in Labour Relations Board matters, employment standards proceedings, human rights complaints, and grievance arbitrations.  Murray is also a certified Canadian Human Resources Professional. He represented one of PEI’s largest private sector employers in one of the longest and most significant proceedings to ever come before the PEI Labour Relations Board.  He has served as counsel on numerous human rights cases, including a recent case of national importance, on behalf of a large institutional employer.

Murray is a labour relations arbitrator, appointed by the PEI Minister of Labour, and has presided over several labour arbitrations.
