Colm is a senior natural resources lawyer based in our St. John’s office. His Labrador-specific mining, aboriginal rights  and environmental law experience is extensive. His mining law experience ranges from diamonds through base metals to rare earths and uranium. He has also had a wide exposure to the iron ore projects and plays in the Labrador Trough. Colm’s Labrador-specific practice has included advising both junior and senior mineral exploration and mining undertakings in areas governed by the NL Mineral Act, the Mining Act, the Environmental Protection Act and the Fisheries Act. He has also provided counsel on mining royalties, Labrador aboriginal title and rights, and impact and benefit agreements.
