Deanne MacLeod, a Partner with Stewart McKelvey’s Halifax office, was appointed Chair of the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia (AGNS), following the Annual General Meeting on June 22. MacLeod practices Corporate Commercial Law with Stewart McKelvey and has been a member of the AGNS Board since 2002.
“I look forward to continue working with the other members of the Board and the Executive in my new capacity as Chair,” says MacLeod. “The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is an important cultural institution in this province and I am proud to be able to play a role in preserving and encouraging the visual arts.”

MacLeod holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Saint Vincent University and a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University.
