: Former National Canadian Bar Association President, Brian Tabor, Q.C., Joins Stewart McKelvey

Stewart McKelvey is pleased to welcome Brian Tabor, Q.C. to the firm’s Halifax office as a Partner. Recognized nationally for his expertise in real estate law, Tabor recently served as National President of the Canadian Bar Association, completing his term in 2006.

An experienced and respected advisor in the areas of real estate, corporate and commercial and financial services and banking law, Tabor was recently recognized as a leading practitioner by Best Lawyers in Canada 2008 for his practice in the area of real estate law. In 2006, he received the Canadian Bar Association-Nova Scotia Branch’s Distinguished Service Award for his long-standing commitment and service to the organization.

Tabor holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick. He is a past chair of the Canadian Bar Association National Real Estate Section and a past Co-chair of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society Real Property Task Force.
