André G. Richard Q.C., a partner in Stewart McKelvey’s Moncton office, is the new chairman of the Université de Moncton Board of Governors. The Université de Moncton is Canada’s largest French-language university outside Québec. Since its creation in 1963, the Université has awarded more than 43,000 degrees and has become the single most important center for the social, cultural and economic development of New Brunswick’s Acadian population. The Council of the governors constitutes one of the two higher authorities of the Université de Moncton and is composed of 27 members, of which 20 come from the outside the Université.
André is also a member of the L' Association des juristes d’expression française du Nouveau-Brunswick.
