"The holidays are a time for families to come together and celebrate the season," said John Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of Stewart McKelvey. "That is why Stewart McKelvey is pleased to support the Military Families Fund.  With this donation, we hope to give comfort and joy to the spouses and children of our Armed Forces personnel not only during the holidays but throughout the year."

The Hon. Peter MacKay, Minister of Defence, Minister of the Atlantic Gateway, and MP for Central Nova accepted the donations on behalf of the fund.

"This large contribution reflects the kind of support and appreciation Canadians across the country have for the men and women of the Canadian Forces and their families," said Minister MacKay.
