Stewart McKelvey is pleased to welcome Peter McLellan, Q.C. to the firm as partner in the Labour and Employment group. Peter comes to Stewart McKelvey with more than 25 years experience in labour and employment law. Peter is a nationally recognized leader in his field.

Frequently appearing before Nova Scotia and Canada Industrial Relations Boards and the Labour Standards Tribunal on matters relating to unions, Peter is an experienced practitioner and respected advisor to businesses on labour and employment issues. He has represented clients before the Supreme Court of Canada on a variety of labour matters, including dealing with the rights of employers in union organizing campaigns and during collective bargaining.

Peter holds a B.A. from Mount Allison University and a LL.B. from Dalhousie University. He is a member of the Bars of both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. He will be practicing from Stewart McKelvey’s Halifax office. He also maintains an extensive pensions and employee benefits practice.
