Atlantic Canada’s largest regional law firm adds support and depth with strategic additions to a thriving regional team
Stewart McKelvey continues to grow its regional practice and recently extended permanent offers to eight articled clerks. The firm is pleased to welcome the following to the team:
Jason Caissie (Fredericton, New Brunswick)
Josie Marks (Moncton, New Brunswick)
Misty Watson (Saint John, New Brunswick)
Ruth Trask (St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador)
Ian Breneman (Halifax, Nova Scotia)
Kate Marshall (Halifax, Nova Scotia)
Michelle McCann (Halifax, Nova Scotia)
Todd Schindeler (Halifax, Nova Scotia)
The articled clerks will become associates following bar admission ceremonies. Ian Breneman will defer his start date until the summer of 2011, following completion of a clerkship at the Federal Court of Canada.
“I’m always impressed by the caliber of people we attract,” said Stewart McKelvey Chief Executive Officer John Rogers. “Once again, we have added strong talent to our team across Atlantic Canada with the addition of these new lawyers.”
The articling program at Stewart McKelvey gives students an opportunity to work with the firm’s most experienced lawyers.
“Stewart McKelvey provided me with the opportunity to explore diverse practice areas under the guidance of leaders in their respective fields,” said Michelle McCann, a Halifax-based clerk. “I’m thrilled to be able to continue that learning and my career with the firm.”
