Stephanie practices in the areas of tax law and banking & finance.

As a tax lawyer, Stephanie represents individual and corporate taxpayers in their disputes against Canada Revenue Agency and provincial finance authorities. She handles objections, relief requests, Tax Court appeals, judicial review applications and settlement negotiations under income tax and GST/HST legislation. She also works with accountants to implement tax-driven corporate reorganizations.

As a banking and finance lawyer, Stephanie represents institutional lenders and their agents in connection with construction financings and other asset- and project-based lending transactions.

Other examples of Stephanie’s work include:

  • advising interjurisdictional carriers on fleet compliance matters, including under the International Registration Plan and the International Fuel Tax Agreement;
  • representing clients on corporate acquisitions through all stages of the transaction;
  • acting for buyers and sellers of commercial real estate; and
  • representing clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
