Michelle Chai reviews statistics of new Canadian lawyers in Canadian Bar Association’s Equality Committee newsletter
Halifax associate Michelle Chai has written an article for the July 2015 issue of Touchstones, the Canadian Bar Association’s Equality Committee newsletter, titled, Putting the new generation of lawyers under the magnifying glass.
Within this piece, Michelle discusses the recent sociological report looking at lawyers admitted to the bar in 2010 as well as new Canadian bar calls in general, in terms of where they work, how much they earn and what areas they practice in. Michelle reviews a variety of different statistics, including ones on the race, salary and gender of these new lawyers to get a clearer picture of the legal profession within Canada.
