Twila Reid appointed to Judicial Advisory Committee for Newfoundland and Labrador
Designed to provide an open and transparent process to appoint Canadian justices, Twila Reid will serve a two-year term as a member of the Judicial Advisory Committee (“JAC”), in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, announced the JAC members for seven jurisdictions around the country, with more to follow in the near future. Each committee is made up of individuals who fully reflect the diversity in Canada and work to offer non-binding, merit-based federal judicial appointment recommendations to the Minister of Justice.
