Representative matters

Koren has worked with a variety of clients including insurers, municipal bodies and health care organizations. Some of the ways in which Koren has helped her clients include: 

  • Acting as counsel for regional health authorities and other companies in defense of privacy class actions
  • Advising health care organizations in respect of health law matters and defending medical malpractice claims
  • Advising public bodies and companies regarding compliance with privacy and access to information legislation, inclusive of responding to access to information requests, personal health information requests, and preventing and responding to privacy breaches
  • Representing public bodies and companies in reviews of access to information requests before the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner, and at the appeal stage in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador
