: Articled Clerk Kyle DeYoung honoured at Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society’s 2013 Recognition Reception for exemplary leadership and volunteer commitment

On Sept. 27, at the 2013 Recognition Reception celebrating excellence in Nova Scotia’s legal profession, Articled Clerk Kyle DeYoung was honoured as a recipient of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society’s (NSBS) Presidents’ Leadership Award. 

Kyle is recognized as honouring the societal contributions of NSBS’ Past Presidents for his exemplary leadership and volunteer commitment to student groups while at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law, and for his work with charitable organizations within the wider community. 

Stewart McKelvey also sponsored the Race and the Law Essay Prize at the reception, which recognizes and encourages outstanding scholarship by law students in Nova Scotia on topics pertaining specifically to issues of race and law.
