: Michelle Chai appointed as member of the Canadian Bar Association equality committee

Halifax associate Michelle Chai has been appointed to the Canadian Bar Association equality committee.

The goal of this national CBA committee is to achieve equality in the legal profession, particularly on the basis of sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, age or disability. The committee promotes awareness of equality issues in the legal profession and develops resources to assist in achieving equality.

In the past, Michelle has been a volunteer member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society's gender equity committee. Michelle was also recently appointed as a board member for the Legal Information Society of Nova Scotia.
