: Partner and Stewart McKelvey Partnership Board member, Christa Brothers, receives Queen’s Counsel appointment

Stewart McKelvey congratulates Halifax-based partner and Stewart McKelvey Partnership Board member, Christa Brothers, on her Queen’s Counsel appointment. The appointment recognizes Christa’s outstanding contributions to the practice of law, her demonstrated professional integrity, and significant community involvement, since being called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1997.

An active member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, Christa is presently serving her third consecutive term as a member of Council; is a member of the Complaints Investigation Committee; Chair of the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, Liaison Sub-Committee; and a member of the Gender Equity Committee. Christa is also active in the Canadian Bar Association, serving as Chair of the National Insurance Law Subsection.

Widely published in the area of Civil Litigation, Christa has also been repeatedly distinguished by Best Lawyers in Canada for her work in Corporate and Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law, and Personal Injury Litigation.
