: Partner Keith Boswell, QC appointed judge of the federal court in Charlottetown

Partner Keith Boswell, QC has been appointed a judge of the federal court in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Justice Boswell will be replacing Justice J.A. O'Keefe, in effect June 30, 2014.

Justice Boswell received a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1983, and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1985 and the Bar of Prince Edward Island in 1987. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2005.

Justice Boswell practiced with Stewart McKelvey in Charlottetown since 1988, with a focus in business, corporate and commercial law. He has served as an executive and committee member of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island, the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, the Canadian Lawyers Insurance Association Advisory Board and the Prince Edward Island Branch of the Canadian Bar Association.
