: Regional Managing Partner, Spencer Campbell, Q.C., represents PEI in the Supreme Court of Canada on Senate Reform

In a historic reference case, involving three days of hearings, Spencer Campbell, Q.C., Regional Managing Partner, Prince Edward Island, represented the provincial government before the Supreme Court of Canada on the matter of Senate reform. Authoring the factum and assisting Spencer in Ottawa were Charlottetown-based partner Rosemary Scott, Q.C., and associate Jonathan Coady.

The hearings, which began on Nov.12 and concluded on Nov. 14, saw the Provinces respond to a variety of changes being proposed by the Government of Canada, including the election of Senators and the imposition of term limits.
