The firm has also introduced a cutting edge extranet that allows clients secure access to their legal documents, a service according to the magazine, which is offered by Canada's leading national firms.

According to Canadian Lawyer, Stewart McKelvey is recognized as having one of the country's leading energy practices and also serves many of the region's largest entrepreneurial families.

Michael Harrington, Q.C., Chair of Stewart McKelvey's Partnership Board says, "One of the Firm's greatest strengths is our growing areas of specialization and our ability to handle larger and more complex matters particularly in corporate and commercial areas. We've also been successful in expanding along with many of our clients which has allowed us to participate as lead counsel in an increasing number of national and international transactions", he said.

"Obviously we are pleased that Canadian Lawyer and our peers throughout Atlantic Canada selected Stewart McKelvey as the region's leading law firm", Mr. Harrington said. "This is a tribute to our staff as well as the many clients throughout the region who continue to display their confidence in us. We are most grateful to them", he said.
