: Stewart McKelvey welcomes 11 new associates

June 7, 2013

Stewart McKelvey is pleased to announce that the following articling clerks are joining the firm subsequent to being called to the bar:

Newfoundland & Labrador, February 15

Nova Scotia, June 7

New Brunswick, June 18

“Stewart McKelvey’s new associates are an integral part of the legal teams that support the firm’s clients, Atlantic Canada’s most interesting and diverse organizations and people,” said Chief Executive Officer John Rogers, Stewart McKelvey.

The firm’s rigorous rotation program for articling clerks and summer students provides upcoming lawyers with an opportunity to work with and learn from many of the most experienced lawyers in the country. This, combined with the firm’s corporate culture, is the reason why students stay.

“I studied law in Toronto, but worked as a summer student and articling clerk in Moncton with Stewart McKelvey,” says Renée Fontaine, who joins the firm as a new associate following her call to the Bar on June 18th. “What struck me most about the firm was its people. Even though the lawyers have such a strong work ethic, their community involvement, what they do in and for the community, is outstanding. It’s a very collegial work environment.”
