Charlottetown partner Jim Gormley, QC, recipient of Distinguished Service Award
Recognizing exceptional service by a member of the Canadian Bar Association Prince Edward Island branch (“CBA-PEI”), the 2016 Distinguished Service Award has gone to Jim Gormley, QC.
Nominations for this award, which was established in 1999, are reviewed by a nominations committee and based on the individual’s contribution to CBA-PEI, the legal profession, as well as the community as a whole. Jim has been recognized by many legal publications for his work in such industries as health care law, medical negligence and personal injury, and holds a Martindale-Hubbell rating for his high legal ability and ethical standards. He is also very involved in his community, currently acting on the Canadian Bar Insurance Association board of directors, the Canadian Bar Association Prince Edward Island branch health law section and the Prince Edward Island Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame board of governors.
