Handshake Software publishes case study on Stewart McKelvey intranet
The leading provider of Microsoft SharePoint-based products and services for law firms, Handshake Software, recently wrote a case study which looks at the newly redesigned SmartNet portal used by Stewart McKelvey.
With the goal of re-energizing and re-building user experience and interest, the new portal had to transform into a space where lawyers and staff alike could find what they need in a straightforward, efficient manner. To achieve this, a team led by practice innovation partner Paul Saunders planned and reviewed particular processes and behaviours in order to identify best practices and technologies to meet the needs of its users. Paul notes that his team “…took a close look at how our professionals and staff are working; how they consume and share information; what type of files, information and resources they need instant access to, and how we can package and present this in order to assist them in better serving firm clients.”
