Insolvency law conference features Halifax partners as panel speakers
During the 17th annual Review of Insolvency Law conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, Halifax partners Maurice Chiasson, QC, and Sara Scott, P.Eng., will join other legal leaders in this area for discussions on tax issues and claims adjustments.
Maurice is part of a session that will focus on recent cases dealing with deemed trusts and priority issues with Canada Revenue Agency and other trust claims, while Sara, a member of the 2020 planning committee for this event, will chair a panel discussing the issues facing trustees, lawyers, creditors and bettors in the claims adjustment process set out under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
