Saint John partner, James LeMesurier, QC, was interviewed for the Telegraph-Journal article, Outside workers’ 14.5 per cent raise likely sets bar for other city union negotiations: councilor.
Within this article, James discusses how the increase in outside workers’ wage may encourage other union negotiations in the city: “If you’re at the negotiating table with a different group, with the same employer, obviously that’s going to be brought to your attention,” said James. In addition to this, James explains the concept of arbitration and clarifies when groups need to take this action for unresolved contracts.
