Jim Cruickshank & Tim Matthews, QC, present at upcoming Atlantic provinces tax conference
Halifax partners Jim Cruickshank and Tim Matthews, QC, will speak later today, November 4, at the Canadian Tax Foundation’s Atlantic provinces tax conference, at the Sobey School of Business. Stewart McKelvey is pleased to be a sponsor of this event.
Beginning at 2:40 p.m., Jim will be a part of the concurrent session panel, Refresher on the Attribution Rules. During this discussion, panelists will review some of the significant attribution rules within the Income Tax Act and how to avoid issues associated with these rules.
Tim will be among senior tax leaders at the 5:00 p.m. plenary session, discussing the tax profession and how it’s viewed in the media. Panelists will provide an overview of Canada Revenue Agency initiatives and how clients have navigated them, as well as a look at the positive contributions the tax profession has made to the Canadian economy.
