Mark Tector chairing session & presenting at Duty to Accommodate conference
Halifax partner Mark Tector will be chairing the June 9 session of the upcoming Infonex Duty to Accommodate conference, June 9 and 10, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During this time, he will be speaking on two occasions:
Beginning at 9:10 a.m. AST, Tuesday, June 9, Mark will provide legal development updates in duty to accommodate, as well as practical strategies for avoiding complaints and litigation. He will review recent case law and relevant federal and provincial legislation and explain the implications of the latest court decisions for both employers and employees.
Later Tuesday afternoon, Mark will present, Options for Drug and Alcohol Testing Violations, where he will outline various aspects of drug and alcohol testing, such as the basic principles, whether it is considered direct or constructive discrimination and the process of doing such tests on-the-job.
