Paul Saunders presents ideas for in-house legal departments to implement innovation initiatives
Practice innovation partner Paul Saunders has authored a piece in the July edition of Canadian Lawyer InHouse which provides eight tips on how to ensure the successful implementation of innovation initiatives within in-house legal departments.
How In-House Legal Departments can embrace Innovation reviews the significance of such steps as securing management engagement, visualizing your work and developing a culture of continuous improvement. “Resistance to change on the basis that it isn’t the way it’s always been done must give way to thinking that there is always a better way,” writes Paul. He notes that building an environment of openness and willingness to change ensures a shift in attitude and ultimately, efficiency.
