The Honourable James Cowan, QC, panelist at Second International Conference on End of Life Law, Ethics, Policy & Practice
Wednesday, September 13, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Halifax, the Honourable James Cowan, QC, will speak on a panel at the Second International Conference on End of Life Law, Ethics, Policy and Practice. Jim will be joined by two other individuals to discuss The Story of Law Reform in Canada, addressing the development of Canadian law relating to medical assistance in dying. Within this session, Jim will review current and relevant parliamentary studies and debates in the House and Senate, before identifying issues of access and constitutionality which are ongoing across Canada.
