Halifax partner Richard Niedermayer, TEP, receives Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Founder’s Award
The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”) has chosen Richard Niedermayer, TEP, as a 2021 recipient of the STEP Founder’s Award for Outstanding Achievement, making him one of only two Canadians to be acknowledged for voluntary service in the area of trusts and estates this year. This recognition is given to those who demonstrate a significant, extended contribution to STEP and go above and beyond for the organization.
In 2017, Richard was named the STEP Atlantic ‘Volunteer of the Year’. He is on the STEP Canadian Board of Directors, and is the National Secretary of the organization. Richard has served on multiple STEP national and regional boards throughout the past decade, including the human resources and governance committee, as well as national conference committees.
