Halifax partner Will Moreira, QC, FCIArb, published in The Shipping Law Review
The second edition of The Shipping Law Review was recently published, featuring a chapter contributed by Will Moreira, QC, FCIArb.
This publication is targeted towards those involved in addressing both wet and dry shipping disputes in a variety of jurisdictions. An overview of each jurisdiction is provided within this book, as well as the key issues relevant to the specific location.
Will’s chapter focuses on Canadian shipping law and within it he reviews the arbitration, court litigation and alternative dispute resolutions that are in place to handle shipping disputes. In addition to this, Will discusses the limitation of liability and outlines such topics as which parties can limit, which claims can be limited and various situations in which the limits can be broken.
