Managing Partner Rebecca Saturley named President of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers
We are pleased to announce that Rebecca Saturley, Managing Partner in our Halifax office, was appointed as President of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers (CACE), at its 2022 Annual Conference held recently in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Rebecca has an extensive practice focusing on Labour and Employment Law which includes clients in government, large national companies and not-for-profits. She advises on matters ranging from restrictive covenants, to executive employment agreements, and injunction applications. A regular recipient of Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year award, Rebecca is a well-regarded leader in the practice of Employment Law and in 2020 she became the first woman from Atlantic Canada inducted as a Fellow of the College of Labour & Employment Lawyers.
Rebecca’s leadership roles have extended into various volunteer capacities – she previously served as Vice-President with CACE and is currently a Nova Scotia Director. She is the former Chair of the Board of Directors of Feed Nova Scotia, a past member of the Board of Governors of Sacred Heart School of Halifax, past president of the Halifax Trojans, a former lecturer at Dalhousie University and recently appointed to the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Canada.
Founded in 2004, CACE is comprised of close to 1500 members including management-side lawyers and in-house counsel in Canada, in addition to affiliate members in the United States. They provide governments, courts, labour boards and administrative tribunals with input concerning policy and legislative reform from the perspective of lawyers acting on behalf of Canadian employers.
Congratulations Rebecca!
