Stewart McKelvey appoints new Managing Partner in St. John’s
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Allison Whelan, LL.M (Tax) as the new Managing Partner in our St. John’s office, effective January 1, 2024. Managing Partners play a significant leadership role in our local offices, entrusted with the care of our lawyers and staff, as well as overseeing our client initiatives and community outreach.
Allison will take over from Tauna Staniland, K.C., ICD.D, who served as Managing Partner since 2021. With an extensive practice, several years of high-level engagement in Firm-wide, strategic initiatives, and a key role in the development of a robust tax group within the St. John’s office, Allison is deeply invested in the growth of our Firm and its people.
We extend our sincere thanks to Tauna for her dedication to the St. John’s office over the past few years, and congratulate Allison on this significant appointment.
